The Town of Cabri’s transfer station is located approximately three miles out of Cabri on Highway 37 heading towards Hazlet or Gull Lake. The transfer station is classified as a “transfer station” meaning that garbage is not buried at the site. It is collected in a large bin and when it is full, Triways is called to bring an empty bin out and haul the full one to the Swift Current landfill.

There are separate areas for garbage, wood and metal and recycling. The wood is burned and the metal is recycled. You will be asked to take your garbage to the proper location.

Due to provincial regulations, burning barrels cannot be accepted.

Please note the following for appliances that have Freon:

Appliances with Freon must have the Freon removed. If you need to dispose of one of these appliances (fridge, freezer, air conditioner, water cooler) here are your options:

1) If it is a fridge 1995 or older, call SaskPower for free removal.

Did you know that SaskPower has a program where they come pick up your old refrigerator to recycle it? If it is a 1995 model or older, they will come pick it up at no cost to you. Visit their website at www.saskpower.com to read the details on this program. Click onto Efficiency Programs & Tips and then onto Residential Programs.

2) Have a licensed refrigeration dealer remove the Freon for you. You must take your receipt from the dealer with you to the transfer station.
