Town Meeting Update

Town Meeting Recap – Thank You for Joining Us!

Thank you to everyone who attended the Town Meeting—we appreciate your time, input, and commitment to our community.

Mayor Norma Pederson opened the evening by welcoming attendees and expressing gratitude for the strong turnout. We were pleased to have guest speakers from SHA, including Curtis Newton, Carley Olfert, and Erin Gehl, who shared valuable insights on primary health care and home care services. They also noted that our X-ray and lab technician position remains vacant, with more information to be shared with the community in the coming weeks.

Bonnie Lingenfelter provided an important overview of bylaw enforcement. Residents are encouraged to review the town bylaws on our website to stay informed. A reminder to everyone that any concerns or complaints must be submitted in writing to the Town Office.

Norma also gave an update on our current water situation, as we remain under a boil water advisory. This discussion highlighted concerns around our current EMO and the need for additional street captains. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Town Office.

Looking ahead, a grant has been submitted for a major infrastructure project involving a new ground water system through CHIF. This proposed project is estimated at $25 million, with approximately $6 million as the town’s responsibility. We are hopeful for positive news this spring and continue to explore funding opportunities.

The evening concluded with an update from Cheyenne on the upcoming Cabri Daze event, community groups, and progress on the golf course—last year’s selected project by the community.

Together, we are building a stronger, more connected community.
